Stephen Sheppard
“I see this set-up as essential. Professional and friendly, a wealth of experience and advice which I embraced along with the structured program of presenters. Without a doubt, I benefited and value my membership of the group.”
Philip Michael Cooper
“An essential forum which provides job-seekers with the support from others in the same position as well as providing valuable training events to help focus on vital aspects of a comprehensive job-search. I would highly recommend Careers-Action to all professionals.”

I have been impressed by Milton Keynes Executive Action, (Careers-action’s name before becoming a charity) set up by unemployed former executives. Acting as a Community Interest Company, it provides training and support to mid/senior-level managers and professionals facing redundancy and unemployment or currently seeking work. 20 November 2013 addressing the “Importance of older workers for European Economy”

Milton Keynes Council Neighbourhood Employment Programme
Between 2015 and 2018 Careers-Action was a Delivery Partner for Milton Keynes Council’s Neighbourhood Employment Programme. Phil Chandler, Neighbourhood Employment Programme Operational Manager, Regeneration MK.

“As a delivery partner of Milton Keynes Council’s Neighbourhood Employment Programme (NEP), Careers-Action were an invaluable asset to the initiative for three years.  Unfortunately in March 2018, due to budget constraints and a restructure of delivery, the formal partnership ceased.  However, the informal partnership continues as Careers-Action provide the specialist service of employment support to professionals and graduates of Milton Keynes which is not met by any other local service.  Over the course of our contractual relationship, Careers-Action consistently and substantially exceeded all delivery targets and objectives set by the MK Council Directorate for the NEP.  During this three year period, Careers-Action engaged and supported 210 residents of Milton Keynes.  Of those supported, 187 individuals were supported back into employment with the assistance of Careers-Action.  This successful conversion rate of 89% demonstrates how valuable the service is to professionals and graduates of Milton Keynes affected by unemployment and redundancy.  Careers-Action will always remain a part of the NEP family and be supported by the Council.”
