I have been impressed by Milton Keynes Executive Action, (Careers-action’s name before becoming a charity) set up by unemployed former executives. Unfortunately in March 2018, due to budget constraints and a restructure of delivery, the formal partnership ceased. However, the informal partnership continues as Careers-Action provide the specialist service of employment support to professionals and graduates of Milton Keynes which is not met by any other local service. Over the course of our contractual relationship, Careers-Action consistently and substantially exceeded all delivery targets and objectives set by the MK Council Directorate for the NEP. During this three year period, Careers-Action engaged and supported 210 residents of Milton Keynes. Of those supported, 187 individuals were supported back into employment with the assistance of Careers-Action. This successful conversion rate of 89% demonstrates how valuable the service is to professionals and graduates of Milton Keynes affected by unemployment and redundancy. Careers-Action will always remain a part of the NEP family and be supported by the Council.”
